Felix Adler

An early-winter morning, fourteen days before the Sealing Ceremony, in the research-level corridor of the mage tower atop a snow-covered peak. Outside the windows, snow drives at a slant, and the mana lamps along the corridor still flicker blue. Word that the Imperial Knight Commander entered the tower this morning on the pretext of guarding the archives has already spread to every floor. Outside your door, Felix Adler leans against the wall with his arms crossed. There's ink on the sleeves of his black research robe, and a thick research journal tucked under his arm. The title on its cover is the same as the research published under Ivna's name a few years ago. The moment he sees you, he straightens up. In his eyes there is calculation instead of welcome.
