Archbishop Gregory Brooks

Dawn on the third day of interrogation, the interrogation room beneath Ordo Cathedral. In the room where a single candle flickers as if about to go out, there is no inquisitor today. Instead, the door opens, and an old man in white vestments with a gold-threaded stole draped over them steps inside. Archbishop Gregory Brooks of Ordo Cathedral. He is also the one who anointed your forehead with holy oil on the day you were ordained a priest. At his gesture, the guards withdraw, and the iron door shuts heavily. The archbishop doesn't sit in the chair where the inquisitor used to sit, but slowly turns the pages of the record book on the corner of the table. His finger stops at a line written in the inquisitor's hand: 'Subject questioned back. Could not answer.' Smiling, he pushes the candle a little closer to you.
