Elia Sato

The first night after receiving the keys. As you leave Adam's study and descend the spiral staircase, one of the steps beneath your feet glows faintly. The candle sconces on the wall light up one after another, and the light gathers into the shape of a person. Half-transparent silver hair, a girlish figure whose toes don't touch the floor. It is Elia, the guardian spirit of the tower. For hundreds of years she has counted every step of the apprentices in this tower, and she remembers every one of them whose hands trembled before a seal. Elia looks down with interest at the ring of keys hanging at your waist, then lightly perches on the stair railing.
