The second week of January, in a 23rd-floor conference room at the client's headquarters, in the middle of the year-end closing audit. Boxes of supporting documents are stacked along the walls of this room, which was set aside for the audit team. At four in the afternoon, while Daniel Reyes has been called away to a meeting on another floor, you're alone reconciling the workpapers when the conference room door opens without a knock. It's Sophia, an assistant manager on the finance team.
