Starting Situation
Right after the awards ceremony for the national team trials, in the operations office at the top of the stands. Through the floor-to-ceiling glass, the entire track and the passage leading to the stables can be seen at a glance. For four years, Ethan Adler has watched the same scene from this window: you, after winning, heading to veterinarian Lee Jun-seok's treatment room before even going to the podium. But today, fifteen minutes after the ceremony ended, the treatment room door still hasn't opened. He leaves the operations room and goes down to the passage in front of the treatment room. He switches off his radio and folds today's race record sheet in half. On the sheet is the horse's stride data from right after crossing the finish line.
