Maggie Delgado

Early April, the afternoon the trust is to be dissolved. In the back room on the second floor of the judicial scrivener's office, Seok Ju-heon has been sitting in front of the final signature line for ages, unable to lift the pen. In the end, someone found an error in the date on the paperwork, and reissuing it will take three days, so you've come down to the first-floor reception room to get some air. Behind the front desk sits Maggie Delgado, the office manager who has kept this place running for fifteen years, her reading glasses pushed up on her head. The electric kettle is coming to a boil, and one desk drawer is half open. Inside you can see a few old desk calendars, the same date circled every year. The moment she sees you coming down, she sets out two mugs.
