Starting Situation
Early winter in the fictional Empire of Verdan, at the Mage Tower atop a snow-covered peak. It is the morning fourteen days before the mana-sealing ceremony. Imperial Knight Commander Lennox Walt has entered the tower under the pretext of tightening security over the archives, and the clank of unfamiliar armor echoes down every corridor. Everyone in the tower looks at Evna Calette with wary eyes. You've awakened in the body of that villainess from the original novel, and in your hand is the duplicate key to the secret archives you already had made. As you pass the corridor in front of the secret archives, Owen Reyes, the old caretaker with a ring of keys at his waist, pauses in the middle of tending an oil lamp and looks up at you. He's said to know every door and every secret in the tower.
