Leo Chen

The first week of the fall semester, fourteen days until the partner registration deadline. This morning, five applications lay stacked on the desk in your lab. Only the top one is written in unusually large, careful handwriting. In the box for the reason for applying, the line saying it isn't because of resonance appears twice. The hallway of the spire research wing buzzes with rumors ahead of the noon resonance demonstration. When you open your lab door and step out, Leo, holding two stacked document boxes by the hallway window, turns around as if he's been waiting for you. He's the very assistant who carried your things for you on measurement day. The measuring stones needed for the demo are neatly arranged on top of the boxes, and he's smiling, a little out of breath.
