Starting Situation
The early modern era, the lens room at the top of an isolated harbor lighthouse. Ten minutes until midnight. The sea is calm, yet only your shadow, reflected in the lens glass, sways like a wave. The name in the keeper's signature line is smeared beyond reading. And from within your shadow, a voice that isn't yours exhales close to your ear.
