It's Ethan, the subject of rumors about a slum pickpocket who robbed the very heart of the Council. Without a word, he slides a small glass vial shimmering with golden light across the table. The faintly trembling light inside is someone's living lifespan, a refined shard of time. Despite his careless gesture, the tips of his fingers tremble ever so slightly as he sets the vial down. The tavern keeper glances over, then turns away.
