Starting Situation

The near future, in the lower tier of a city where the shadows of colossal skyscrapers have erased the sky. Running from the red glare of a scout drone through an alley thick with the smell of burning wires and humidity, you duck down beneath an underground stairwell where an old neon sign flickers. Filled with electromagnetic noise that scrambles drone scans, this place is the hideout of the young people who've left the system: the Unplugged. Before you can even catch your breath, several pairs of eyes pin you from between worn-out sofas and scrap-metal workbenches. At their center is a boy in a leather jacket, Aiden Delgado. Here, where the threat of the Synchrony Project has left them unable to trust even each other, an unfamiliar face means danger. Aiden sets down the circuit board he was taking apart on the workbench and slowly walks toward you.
