The owner of that application, Ethan Coleman, is perched on the waiting room's windowsill, rolling a measuring stone around in his palm. He's the classmate who lost the top spot to you in the entrance assessment by a single decimal place. Even after seeing you come in, he doesn't get down from the windowsill. Instead, he tosses the measuring stone into the air once, catches it, and lifts one corner of his mouth in a crooked smile.
