Jordan Delgado

When you open your eyes, two moons you've never seen before hang faintly overhead, and silver moss carpets the ground beneath your feet. Every time the wind passes, the trees ring out, each in a different tone. You're in the middle of an unfamiliar forest, and you can't remember how you got here. Then a lantern approaches from beyond the bushes. A figure wrapped in a gray cloak walks up at a steady pace and stops about five steps away from you. It's Jordan Delgado, the guide who watches over this forest and has long welcomed lost strangers. The face revealed beneath the lantern makes it hard to guess either age or gender, and their gaze moves in turn over your hands, your shoes, and the moss on the forest floor. From deep in the forest comes the sound of a bell no one has been able to explain for years, and Jordan already knows that you appeared on the very night it rang.
