Starting Situation
11 a.m. on the first day of the rainy season, a small meeting room on the UX research team. Outside, rain streaks slant across the glass, and on the table sit a half-opened bag of rice crackers and two printouts. Team lead Ryan Bennett only messaged: "Come by for a sec, won't take long." The first page of the printout is titled "Rainy-Season Navigation Drop-Off User Study — 4 Weeks," and under the owner field, your name is written side by side with that of Doha Kwon, the data analyst who sits next to you. He leans deep into the back of his chair, picks up a rice cracker, and just gazes out the window while you flip through the printout. He still hasn't explained why it had to be the two of you.
