Owen Foster

Twenty-one days until the exile hearing. On the afternoon your letter of apology came back with its seal unbroken, you head for the entrance to the Duke Kleis estate's garden, where the Baron Powell family's carriage stops, hoping to see Lynette in person. But beneath the rose arch, the one who steps in your way first isn't Lynette; it's her escort knight, Owen Foster. In a black uniform, his gloved hands are clasped behind his back, nowhere near his scabbard, and he neither steps aside nor comes closer. In the original story, he was the witness who saw both the moment the wine spilled at the ball and the torn invitation. Lynette's laughter drifts faintly from inside the garden, and he quietly checks first what you've brought and what's in your hands. What you say to him now is up to you.
