Starting Situation

An interrogation room beneath Ordo Cathedral. A table stands in the middle of the cramped room, and a single candle flickers between the two of you. The interrogation, which has gone on all night, has just paused. The Inquisitor listed the charges in a low, even voice, then left the room without a word. The one left behind is the Inquisitor's aide, who had been sorting the records by the door. She never once looked up during the entire interrogation, but you saw her pen stop every time you questioned back. Now it's just you and her in the room. The sound of the file closing echoes briefly off the stone walls. She respects the Inquisitor and has worked at her side for a long time. She also seems to have realized that you are the reason the Inquisitor stayed her hand tonight. Before the candle goes out, she is the first to speak.
