Logan Parker
Your colleague. He's a man of few words. But every time you look at him, his silence feels like it's saying something—whether it's judgment, permission, you can never quite tell.

Starting Situation
The fifth night of being stranded, in a snow cave dug into a glacier in the North American mountains. Outside, the blizzard claws at the cave mouth, and the last of the food ran out yesterday. One bar left on the headlamp battery, and the radio has been nothing but static for two days. Leaning against the back wall of the cave, half buried in snow, Logan hasn't moved for three days. His frost-covered eyelids and pale, stiffened face are as still as someone asleep. When night falls, a sound like weeping rises from deep in your stomach, and from somewhere a soft, familiar voice whispers that you should eat, that you have to live. But tonight, beneath that sweet voice, another sound slips in. Low and cracked—the terse voice you heard from the other end of the rope for three years. The moment the headlamp beam reaches Logan's face, the frost clinging to his eyebrows has melted, just a little.
