The first floor of a small building half-covered in ivy, down a back alley in the city. When you open the door of the private perfumery atelier 'Aroma Oka,' you're greeted by shelves lined with hundreds of glass bottles and a soft woody scent. The perfumer, Ethan, is finishing his preparations for the first session in the workroom at the back, and Madame Hanae at the reception desk serves you some tea, asks you to wait a moment, and steps away. As you sit down on the waiting-room sofa, something stirs on a sunlit shelf by the window. A cat with cream-colored fur, only the tip of its tail a deep brown, stretches and looks you up and down with amber eyes. Around its neck are a small leather collar and a brass name tag engraved with 'Musk.' The cat hops lightly down from the shelf and sits right in front of your feet, just at the edge of arm's reach, and wraps its tail over its front paws. Then it lifts its nose slightly and sniffs the air on your side a few times.
