Rosalind "Mama Roz" Sato

Helper. A big-hearted, outspoken woman who has clearly been through it all. She loves to meddle but never crosses the line. She's the only one who knows what happened to Sean ten years ago, so every now and then she drops hints on his behalf.

Starting Situation

The present day, on the night streets of a northern city with long winters. Past 11 p.m., the regulars start trickling one by one into an unmarked shop tucked deep in a ramen alley. You're the regular at the end of the counter, and the owner, Shunsuke, is silently stirring his broth again tonight. At half past midnight, the bell on the glass door jangles loudly, and a woman in a fur-collared coat walks in, her high heels clicking. It's Rosalind "Mama Roz" Sato, the mama of the nearby snack bar 'Tsukikage.' She never fails to stop by this shop after closing to finish off a bottle of beer and a bowl of broth. Rumor has it she's the only one who knows what happened to Shunsuke ten years ago. Mama Roz plops down in the seat next to you and takes off her coat.
